LEVEL 4 (INTERACTIVE MEDIA PATHWAY)

Sgil Cymru’s first Level 4 apprenticeship started in 2016.

As well as training with Sgil Cymru at Pinewood Studio Wales in Cardiff, the apprentices have and will be working in lots of different jobs – including web development, app development and creating online content.

Companies that have offered opportunities to apprentices include Equinox Communications, IT Pie, White Hart Multimedia and Lubas Medical.

All the apprentices are paid an allowance by their employer, 15-months worth of experience of working in the media as well as a bucket full of contacts which may prove useful for work in the future.

This is a Level 4 Apprenticeship, which is equivalent to the first year of university. Anybody who is 18+ when they start can apply. Please note: our apprenticeship schemes are not aimed at graduates.

Don’t forget – it is possible to go to University or College after completing an Apprenticeship. However an Apprenticeship isn’t a summer job, it is a 15-month commitment.

This Apprenticeship programme is part financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.

This Apprenticeship has been made possible through Cardiff and Vale College Apprenticeships; the Lead Training Provider for the Quality Skills Alliance (QSA) Consortium. Cardiff and Vale College Apprenticeships have been awarded a contract of by the Welsh Government to deliver work based learning programmes across Wales.Apprentice Footer
