Company Co-ordinator
Salary: Between £25,000 and £30,000 dependent on experience
Sgil Cymru is a small, very active company, which is growing quickly. We have staff who work out of Cardiff, Conwy, Swansea and Canada, and we need a great Co-ordinator to keep all the lines within the company in order, working closely with the Chief Executive, the Head of Training, and the Project Managers, as well as our SUS-OSS Mentor. Sgil Cymru is the main provider of bilingual training for the screen industries in Wales. We have trained more than 200 apprentices since 2016, but have also held a large number of courses for the sector in Wales and the UK. Since April 2024 Sgil Cymru has been leading the BFI Skills Cluster in Wales which is the Siop Un Stop-One Stop Shop.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- The ability to read, write and speak Welsh as well as English is essential for this position.
- Offer an effective supportive service to Sgil Cymru staff and offer a service to the clients who attend Sgil Cymru courses, including apprentices.
- Management and administration in the office, including ensuring that the office is tidy and decent.
- Assist the Managing Director, Head of Training, Project Managers, Assessors, Mentor and collaborate with all the project teams in the administration and running of training projects.
- Coordinating marketing and recruitment for all our training courses.
- Day-to-day management of the office including answering the phone, handling mail and e-mail, filing, welcoming visitors and other clerical duties including overseeing the supply of office equipment, photocopying and scanning.
- Co-organising diaries which will include scheduling and co-organising interviews, meetings, events, appointments, short courses and other similar tasks for members of staff.
- Organising short courses and ensuring that the paperwork/catering/refreshment facilities are in place, whether in the office or in other centres. This will include making hot drinks, washing dishes and clearing up.
- Providing support with translation work (Welsh-English / English-Welsh).
- Organise and maintain electronic and paper files for projects.
- Keeping minutes at specific meetings.
