Only a fortnight after completing Sgil Cymru’s new Script Supervisor training programme, course participant Catriona Napier has been offered work on new TV Drama series Will as an Assistant Script Supervisor. Catriona, who is based in Scotland, will initially be joining the production in south Wales for two weeks. Sgil Cymru wish Catriona good luck with her new role!
Sgil Cymru staff regularly meet and speak to production managers and other crew looking for newly trained freelancers for production work in south Wales and further afield. Building a network of former trainees is at the heart of what Sgil Cymru does.
The new course for those looking to train in Location Management, supported by Creative Skillset’s Film Fund, includes a work experience element where a select number of trainees will be offered work experience with Location Solutions upon completion of the course. With 2017 set to be one of Wales’ busiest years for film and television drama production, Sgil Cymru plan to deliver a number of new short courses for a range of production grades.
You can join the mailing list to find out when new courses are announced, or contact Sgil Cymru directly to discuss your training needs.
