The 2016 QSA Apprenticeship Awards were held in the Cardiff and Vale College city centre campus on the evening of March 11th.
Huge congratulations to Real SFX who came to the top in the Small Employer of the Year, and to Lucy Robertson, former art department apprentice with BBC Cymru Wales who won the Creative Industries Apprentice of the year category. Both Real SFX and Lucy were nominated for their awards by Sgil Cymru as the training provider.
Carmela Carrubba, Creative Director at Real SFX said “A special thank you to Sue Jeffries, Nadine, Matt and Catrin for starting up Sgil Cymru after Cyfle went last year. Without individuals like Sue and Nadine with passion and drive in training, we would not be able to continue bringing new talented people into the creative industries via apprenticeships.”
The Quality Skills Alliance is a consortium of work-based learning providers made up of 22 partners and subcontractors. The awards celebrate excellence and achievement, and the winners were chosen by a panel comprising the QSA’s chair and representatives from the Confederation of British Industry and the Welsh Government’s Department for Education and Skills.
